Frequently Asked Questions
Pain is a condition that affects the daily life and financial security of hundreds of thousands of individuals and their families nationwide. It is a complex and challenging problem that requires careful investigation of symptoms and specialized care. We offer a full range of outpatient evaluation and treatment techniques integrated with behavioral health therapy.
New Health Services (NHS) was established with the mission to improve the quality of the lives of individuals suffering from acute and chronic pain. NHS handles legal cases including workman’s comp, auto collision and personal injury. Among the list are arthritis, fibromyalgia, joint pain, headaches, neck and back pain, and some pelvic and abdominal pain.
Our behavioral health department works with our pain patients, as well as with those suffering from other mental health and addiction issues.
We also offer Intensive Outpatient programs and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for patients who are diagnosed with addiction and need MAT services.
The center’s board-certified healthcare specialists include physicians with specialties or fellowship training in anesthesiology, internal medicine, physical medicine, and addiction. Team members include providers specializing in spinal pain and primary care doctors. Learn more
Our team also includes Master’s-level licensed therapists and physical therapists. This multidisciplinary approach helps us create individually designed treatment programs that are proven to achieve better outcomes.
Our services are all conducted on an outpatient basis. Each treatment program is individualized based on the patients’ needs, and therefore the length of treatment varies. Patients are assessed upon arrival at New Health Services and the length of treatment is discussed at that time.
All of our group therapy sessions require a minimum of six (6) weeks’ attendance. At the end of that time, the primary therapist will discuss ongoing treatment, which may be in continued as group and/or individual sessions.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a minimum of six (6) weeks and can last for 12 weeks. This level of care is recommended for those struggling with addiction. During this phase of treatment, patients are under the guidance of a behavioral health therapist.
Every patient is medically assessed by a board-certified, fellowship-trained physician, who works closely with the patient to plan care and treatment options. Patients receive both a behavioral health assessment and therapeutic recommendations to achieve the best results.
New Health Services grew out of a passion for helping people experience a better quality of life. We are the only pain treatment center that has a fully integrated care model in which our doctors and therapists work together as a multidisciplinary team to formulate treatment plans and address the physical and mental wellness needs of each patient.
Our mission is to offer a comprehensive pain solution including physical therapy, a surgery center, imaging, and diagnostics all under one roof for optimum care particularly for those individuals on Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicare program) who typically have a hard time finding specialty services.
We accept Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program), Colorado Access, and Medicare. Additionally, we accept Cigna, United Healthcare, and Pinnacol Assurance, and we are continuously working on credentialing with other private plans. We will gladly work with patients’ out-of-network benefits and/or obtain a prior authorization if needed. Please contact us with any financial concerns.
